Ibrahimovic pens one year deal with AC Milan
The Italian club has confirmed that veteran striker will extend his stay with the club after signing a one year contract.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has agreed to sign a one year deal with AC Milan that will see him continue to play for the Rossoneri for the 2020/21 season.
He joined the club in January on a six-month deal and scored 10 league goals in 18 appearances that saw the club finished the season on sixth place in Serie A and confirmed their place in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League, also finishing the season with an unbeaten streak of 13 matches in all competitions.
AC Milan have not won any silverware since 2011 when they won their eighteenth and last Serie A title and Zlatan will hope to end the club’s nine-year wait for the major honours.
Ibrahimovic previously played for Milan in 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons where he scored 56 goals in 85 matches for the club and winning the Scudetto and Supercoppa.
Former Sweden International has started his career with his hometown club Malmö FF and has since played for some of Europe’s elite clubs like Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, PSG and Manchester United.
Seven times Champions League winners Milan have last participated in the competition in 2013/14.
AC Milan will start their second qualifying round of the Europa League campaign against Shamrock Rovers on September 17.
