ISL: Hyderabad FC scored four past shaky Kerala Blasters to register their biggest win of the campaign

Victory over Manjappada moved Manuel Roca’s men up to third position in the league.

Hyderabad FC secured their biggest win of the Hero ISL season after scoring four times in the second half against error-prone Kerala Blasters.

A brace from Francisco Sandaza and a goal apiece from Aridane Santana and João Victor sealed the victory for playoff qualification chasing Hyderabad.

All the goals came in the second half of the game after the horrific performance from Kerala Blasters defense and goalkeeper Albino Gomes.

Francisco Sandaza opened the scoring in the 58th minute of the game when he finished from the close range after a lack of communication between Kerala defenders and four minutes later Spaniard scored his second of the game via a penalty when Albino Gomes fouled Joel Chianese who capitalised from a poor back pass Kone.

Aridane Santana scored his team’s third goal of the match and his ninth of this season in the 86th minute of the game when he headed in from a Lluís Sastre’s freekick and in the injury time of the second half Santana provided the assist to João Victor from a very similar freekick but this time flicking the ball for a simple tap in finish for Victor.

Hyderabad are unbeaten in their last 10 league matches and could still qualify for the playoffs, while this defeat for Kerala Blasters means they are no longer in the race for the top four spots.
