Juventus seal loan deal for Alvaro Morata
Spain international rejoins the Turin based on a season-long loan having played for them between 2014 to 2016.
Juventus have confirmed the signing of striker Alvaro Morata from La Liga side Atletico Madrid on a season-long loan deal for €10m, along with an option to buy for €45m included.
Morata started his career with Real Madrid before moving to Juventus in 2014 where he played for two seasons and scored 27 goals in 93 appearances, winning Serie A in each season and also helping the club to reach the UEFA Champions League final in 2015.
The 27-year-old striker has previously played for Chelsea before joining Atletico Madrid on loan in 2019 and in July 2019 the move was made permanent for a fee around £58m.
The Bianconeri also have an option to extend the loan for further one year for €10m to make the option to buy amount worth €35m.
Juventus linked with several strikers after the departure of Gonzalo Higuain but new manager Andrea Pirlo signed Morata instead, having played with him during his time at the club.
The transfer could make a way for Luis Suarez to make his much-awaited move to Atletico Madrid to replace the Spaniard at Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
