The Nigerian striker joined the Serie A side for a transfer amount of €54m in a record deal for the Italian club.
Napoli have confirmed the signing of LOSC Lille striker Victor Osimhen in a club-record deal which is reportedly worth €54m deal.
The highly-rated star striker only played one full season in France yet showcased enough to seal a move to Serie A side Napoli on a five-year contract. Osimhen, who signed for Wolfsburg in 2017 was allowed to join Belgian side Charleroi on loan for the 2018-19 season where he scored 20 goals and the club chose to activate the purchase option before Lille snapped him for €15m.
The 21-year-old striker scored 13 league goals in his only campaign in France and registered 4 assists in 27 league appearances. Wissam Ben Yedder, Kylian Mbappe, and Moussa Dembele have scored more league goals than Osmimen in the 2019-20 campaign, the current deal is set to break the record for Napoli as their highest ever transfer fee previously set by Hirving Lozano, when he moved from PSV Eindhoven for a fee of €42m.
Napoli are set to finish Serie A on the seventh spot and have already confirmed their Europa League status for next season after winning the Coppa Italia.
