Premier League confirms restart with Aston Villa versus Sheffield United game on June 17
The English top flight will return to action after more than 3 months of absence.
Premier League season will resume on June 17 with Aston Villa vs Sheffield United fixture as the first game post COVID-19 pandemic followed by Manchester City against Arsenal at the Etihad.
First three rounds of the official fixtures of the restarted season released on Friday. Manchester United will travel to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to face Spurs on Friday, June 19, Everton will host Merseyside rivals Liverpool with the last fixture of the week on Sunday, June 21, with the venue for the Merseyside derby is still not confirmed.
Other fixtures include relegation threatened Norwich hosting Southampton and Watford’s fixture against champions league aiming Leicester. Arsenal will return to action again on Saturday, June 20 with a trip to Brighton while Chelsea will start against Aston Villa on Sunday, June 21.
Liverpool who are 25 points clear of 2nd placed Manchester City are looking to win their 1st Premier League title when the season will restart after its suspension in March.
