Tottenham sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid on a season-long loan
Wales International returned to Spurs after leaving the club in 2013 for a then world-record fee of €91 million.
Tottenham have announced the signing of winger Gareth Bale on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid.
This would be Bale’s second stint with the North London club having previously played for them for six years where he made 146 Premier League appearances and established himself as one of the talented footballers in the world, while also earning a move Real Madrid in 2013.
The 31-year-old has played over 250 games and scored more than 100 goals for the Los Blancos winning two La Liga titles and four Champions League, however, he had his worst campaign in Madrid last season where he only scored three goals in all competitions and was mostly out of favour in the first team due to his rift with manager Zinedine Zidane.
Bale could not feature for his new club until October due to a knee injury suffered during the international break.
Tottenham are managed by former Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho and finished sixth in the 2019/20 season.
