Fulham sign PSG goalkeeper on a season long loan
The 27-year-old World Cup winner spent the last season on loan at Real Madrid.
Fulham have announced the signing of goalkeeper Alphonse Areola on a season long loan from French champions Paris Saint Germain with an option to buy.
France International Areola spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Real Madrid where he made just nine appearances in all competitions, winning the La Liga and Supercopa de Espana during his one season stay at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Fulham returned to the Premier after a gap of one year following their victory over Brentford in the Championship playoff final.
Areola, who won league titles in France and Germany along with the 2018 FIFA World Cup will add his experience to the promoted Fulham side and is likely to be their number one keeper ahead of the new season.
Fulham host Arsenal on September 12 in their Premier League season opener.
