Spurs announce Joe Hart on a two-year deal
Former Manchester City Goalkeeper signed a contract until 2022 after leaving Burnley
Tottenham Hotspurs have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Joe Hart on a free transfer in a deal until 2022.
Hart did not feature in a Premier League game in the 2019/20 season for Burnley after losing his place to Nick Pope.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Joe Hart on a contract until 2022,” said Spurs in club’s official statement.
The former Manchester City shot-stopper will compete with captain Hugo Lloris and Paulo Gazzaniga for the goalkeeping spot at Spurs.
Hart spent 12 years at City where he won two Premier League titles before losing his place after the arrival of Pep Guardiola in 2016.
He represented England 75 times but has not played for the Three Lions since 2017.
Hart becomes Spurs second major signing of the summer after the arrival of Pierre-Emile Højbjerg from Southampton last week.
